Network Cameras
Modern technology makes it possible to connect cameras directly into computer networks, which are available in most offices. It is also possible to have a camera at a different location and view the images in the office. If you have a PC in your home it is possible to view the images from this PC. The cameras are complete with built-in computers and assignable IP addresses. I.e. it is possible to look at the images from any camera from any
computer
connected to the network/Internet, i.e. all cameras can be viewed on
all computers. You can either allow only authorized persons to view the
images, or you can have If the building is equipped with a computer network the necessary infrastructure is already there to add network cameras. Wouldn’t it be useful to track every person that passes a door by taking their image, or to be able to check for false alarms from home? Today, most surveillance (CCTV) cameras are connected to a TV monitor.
If a multiplexer is used, several cameras can be displayed on one
